Violeta Vicci is a contemporary classical and electronic artist and composer, who weaves layered violin, ethereal vocals, and subtle electronics into a healing sound tapestry. She has collaborated with artists including Sigur Ros, Jonny Greenwood, Thom Yorke, Elbow, Bat For Lashes and The Orb.
Her music is regularly played on national and international radio and she has performed at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Paris Philharmonie, Gewandhaus, The Barbican, and at festivals including British Summer Time and Glastonbury.
She will shortly commence a UK live tour, in support of her most recent album release ‘Be Human’, which will see her perform a solo show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Aside from her commercial releases and live shows, Violeta has composed bespoke music for a range of audiovisual projects. Her recent work includes the original soundtrack for the film ‘Ruby’, directed by the multi-BAFTA, RTS and Broadcast award-winner Aysha Rafaele, which she co-scored with Roger Goula. She has also scored ‘Cocoon’, directed by Issy Franklin, and ‘Love You’, directed by Martha Nabila - both commissioned by the Roundhouse Film Fund.
Violeta has performed on numerous film, TV and documentary scores for composers Martin Phipps, Volker Bertelmann, Bryce Dessner, Anne Nikitin, Nainita Desai, Carly Paradis and Alex Baranowski, and has arranged and recorded strings for artists Fontaines DC, Shed 7, Declan McKenna, Sorry, Remy Bond, Jazmin Bean, Eliza Shaddad and Suki Waterhouse amongst others. Violeta is based in central London and offers remote recording services from her home studio.
